Urban Foraging 101 with Portland-based Becky “Wild Girl” Lerner!
In Urban Foraging 101, we will shift
our perception of Eugene’s landscape. Random foliage will become tea, coffee, salad greens and medicine as we walk through the city and identify common weeds and wild plants. We will discuss their nutritional and medicinal benefits, how they were historically used, how to harvest them, and what to do with them. We will also sample a legal smoking mixture made from wild urban plants and talk about the relationship between plants and human consciousness. The experience is designed for newbies, and it will be fun, inspiring and enlightening!
