Rewilding in Europe

There isn’t anything like the North American appreciation of wildness in Europe. Still there are a few things. I’d be interested to hear of more, I’ll post what I can think of here.

Knepp Castle is a 3,500 acre estate in West Sussex, South East England. The owners got into rewilding (a bit at least). There’s a good article about it here:

It’s nothing much compared to the other side of the Atlantic, but it’s something. It also gives an insight into the difficulties of rewilding when surrounded by a population of ignorant compliant consumers.
