Dancing Sol is one of our most highly recommended programs. Dancing Sol is a nature-focused preschool program in south Eugene.

This is our sister program in Portland. These guys and gals are inspiring to be around.
Earthwalk Northwest
Earthwalk is Frank and Karen Sherwood’s wilderness school in Washington. They are amazing teachers and amazing people.
Lost Valley Educational Center
Lost Valley is a community and educational center near Dexter, Oregon. They are definitely worth getting to know.
Coyote Trails School of Nature
Coyote Trails runs wilderness programs out of Ashland, Oregon.
Hollowtop Outdoor Primitive School
Thomas J Elpel’s site features classes, books, and articles on primitive and sustainable living skills.
Wilderness Awareness School
WAS is one of the oldest programs teaching Earth Skills in the US. Check out their Kamana home study program.
Eugene Free School
This is a great source for knowledge in the Eugene area and it’s all free. If you have a skill consider offering a class through them.
Mt. Pisgah Arboretum
Mt Pisgah is a wonderful wild space near town and they also offer regular workshops on nature related topics.

Nearby Nature is one of the best organizations in Eugene for taking kids in to nature
Alvord Museum
Alford Farm runs a private nature museum in west Eugene offering regular “playshops” and camps
Children’s PEACE Guild offers programs in Permaculture, Ethnobotany, and Ancestral Crafts
